“Captain Bezu Fache carried himself like an angry ox, with his wide shoulders thrown back and his chin tucked hard into his chest. His dark hair was slicked back with oil, accentuating an arrow-like widow’s peak that divided his jutting brow and preceded him like the prow of a battleship. As he advanced, his dark eyes seemed to scorch the earth before him, radiating a fiery clarity that forecast his reputation for unblinking severity in all matters.” —The Lost Symbol and The Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown’s 20 worst sentences - Telegraph (via)

“The publicity from Tama’s appointment led to an increase in ridership by 17% for that month as compared to January 2006; ridership statistics for March 2007 showed a 10% increase over the previous financial year. A study has estimated that the publicity surrounding Tama has contributed 1.1 billion Yen to the local economy.” —Tama (cat) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oliver Sim: I went to see Beyoncé in concert two months ago— it was the big concert of the year in my circle of friends. At one point, she appeared in a mask on a little stage in the middle of the audience and started dancing and then took off her mask and it turned out it wasn’t her. The real Beyoncé was flying above the audience, which was beyond huge. I’m a bit new to big stadium shows but I like having the option of sitting down and eating M&M’s.

Pitchfork: Have you guys thought about incorporating any kind of onstage theatrics into your show?

OS: I’d love to think that we could fly at some point in our career, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
